Hi folks, today we are deeply inspired from pizza. As everybody knows is one of the favourite food not only for italians. Another side of globalization, maybe one of the best, because with few simple elements you create a delight.

The word pizza means also something boring in some kind of slang, the word pizze can be the plural of pizza or indicating a lot of shots (roman slang).

if we can (and we sould not) traslate an italian idiom we can say that pizze are flying.

Right the ones are flyin between a population (well served and bombed with pizzanews topped with crimes committed from gipsys) and the community of gypsies living in the surroundings of the big cities. I red today in the newspapers the raids and attacks have been reported. Some kind of weapons were involved too. In dont remember news like that in the past. thats sad. what once could have been an isolated foolish act is now a mass action.

I Think its the normal development of the strategy of terror that the national and private media have sistematically promoted.

Despite the fact that rome is one of the safest city of the world and the country also has a very good position in the world rank. (without the mafia we would be one of the safest country of the world).

Comparing this numbers (so good)  with the fear that people has (so real) is something shocking. and that says it all

The best pizza in rome in my judgment

We have to distinguish between 3 kind of pizza

1 pizza a taglio (pizza at slices, not circle one, to go or to eat immediately without table)

the number one for cold pizzas (topped with mayonnaise sauce, tomato, mozzarella, tuna and many different types) is in via nizza, few yard from piazza fiume, it is open also at late night due to the presence of an importat disco nearby.

for the hot ones i dont have a real favourite but sone kind of nice pizza there or there, so if you guys tell me wich kind i can tell you where is my favourite.

2 pizza at the naples way (big and high volume, not thin) its not my favourite so i have to ask suggestion to a napolitan friend and let you know. for sure avoid the pizza chains like pizzarito and similar items.

3 pizza in the roman way (thin, not big). so many………let see some

san lorenzo district, a classic low budget destination for pizza, lots of nice one like “formula uno”, “il maratoneta”, “l’economica”. Not the nicest part of the town but is where students mainly go.

near piazza navona, the mithic “baffetto”, ask any local around there and you’ll find it easy easy. informal, alway line, but cool and very local.

celio district, luzzi is the most crazy pizzaman ever seen, dont go there if the rome soccer team is playing cause he will be possessed like an haitian witch. if his team scores when hes bringing you the pizza, can happen he trows it in the air and promise to give you another one pretty soon.

so todays motto is, have a nice pizza and be far from pizze.
